Month: July 2013
The Board has determined that the Association will implement a monthly late payment charge of $25 for all past due accounts effective September 1, 2013. The charge is in accordance with the Association’s right to recover expenses incurred by reasons of non-payment and such past due balances may also be subject to interest at the rate of 12% per annum. Owners with separate water accounts may be subject to two late fees if both the maintenance and water accounts are past due.
Lawn chemical application
Please be advised that we will be carrying out a chemical application around the common areas of the development commencing Wednesday July 31, 2013.
For safety reasons, signs will be placed in the areas being treated and we would ask that parents and pet owners pay particular attention to the affected areas.
Fogging notice
Our pest control contractor will be fogging the development on July 25th, 2013 with a pesticide to reduce the presence of mosquitoes (that may contribute to dengue fever outbreaks) and sand flies. Open water will also be treated with a system to kill larvae.
Treatment will take place between the hours of 5:00am and 6:00am, the following guidelines should be observed by all residents:
- No persons and/or animals are to be outside during the fogging procedure treatment time.
- Close windows and doors during the fogging exercise, they should remain closed for 45 minutes after completion.
- Place all pet feeding/watering bowls indoors.
- Persons and animals can go outside (if necessary) 45 minutes upon completion of the fogging activity. Note this is especially important for children, pregnant women and asthmatics.
- The above measures are precautionary as the treatment does not leave a significant residue.
There will be further treatments taking place between the hours of 10:00pm and 11:00pm on the following Sundays & Thursdays until August 25th unless otherwise advised (subject to weather conditions).
Gardening service standards
Detailed guidelines have been published on our gardening service page available via the Customer service menu. The guidelines set out the standard that owners can expect from the gardening service included with the maintenance program. Feedback is encouraged and the comments section will be open on the page until August 31st, 2013.
