  • Dwelling modifications such as extensions shall be $500 per application
  • Non-dwelling applications such as docks, boat lifts or dock extensions shall be $250 per application

Security updates – March 2011

Warm Greetings to all of our residents!

Thankfully, the month February was another quiet month for the Security Department.

You may have noted from our website that we have implemented the new Barcode System. Some residents have already taken advantage of this system. However, I would like to encourage all residents to make use of this system as it will be beneficial to you. It will allow you quicker entrance by preventing the long waiting time sometimes experience due to traffic congestion. The Barcode labels can be purchased from the Business Office at a cost of $50.00 and placed on your vehicle by Security.

Caution: Please be advised that when entering through the Service gate, cars with the Barcode must pull straight through without lingering. If you have to speak to the Security Officer posted at the gate I would recommend that you drive through the gate and park your vehicle on the side (clear of traffic) and then proceed to walk the booth. This is to prevent damage to your vehicle, because the gate will automatically come down (we are working to remedy this!)

Fire Drill:

On Monday March 7, 2011, the Fire Department drove through Sandyport and made their recommendations on how we can improve our fire safety. One of the recommendations was for all residents to install fire alarms in their homes, which should be connected to their burglar alarms. This will ensure that the Fire Department is alerted.
