Please download and print the trick or treat sign (available here) and attach it to your front door if you wish to take part in the trick or treat activities. If you have children that are trick or treating then please let them know that the approved hours are from 5:00pm – 9:30pm and that they should only call on homes bearing the sign.

Trick or treating should stop at 9:30pm and non-residents should vacate the common property by 10:00pm.

Halloween festivities

Halloween season is upon us and as is customary, it will be celebrated in a big way at Sandyport. Security Services will be highly visible during the festivities.

There are a few safety tips we would like for you to keep in mind during this celebration to ensure the festivities are enjoyable for all Residents:

  1. Provide security with a guest list.
  2. Ask guests to state the name of the resident who invited them upon their arrival. Security Services will not be allowing any uninvited persons on to the property.
  3. Children engaging in trick or treating should be accompanied by their parents or guardian and only visit homes with lights on. They will be required to vacate the common property by 10pm.
  4. Ask children to refrain from throwing eggs and avoid using firecrackers near occupied homes.

In conclusion, we wish to assure you that our Security presence will be more visible during the Halloween festivities to further ensure the safety of children.

Community event scheduled for November 14th

Join us

We are inviting all residents and owners to a social gathering from 6-9pm on Friday November 14th, 2014 at the gazebo and pool deck located in phase 5, near Coral Beach.

This is a social event to meet with other residents, the Directors and Committee Members. It is also a great opportunity to share feedback and ideas for improving our community.

We will be providing food, bar service and a bouncy castle for the kids.

We are looking forward to this event, please put it in your diary and come join us.

Fogging this Friday night / Saturday morning

Our pest control contractor will be fogging the community on October 11th, 2014 with a pesticide to reduce the presence of mosquitoes (that may contribute to dengue fever outbreaks) and sand flies. Open water will also be treated with a system to kill larvae.

Treatment will start at at 1am and takes approximately 2 hours, the following guidelines should be observed by all residents:

  1. No persons and/or animals are to be outside during the fogging procedure treatment time.
  2. Close windows and doors during the fogging exercise, they should remain closed for 45 minutes after completion.
  3. Place all pet feeding/watering bowls indoors.
  4. Persons and animals can go outside (if necessary) 45 minutes upon completion of the fogging activity. Note this is especially important for children, pregnant women and asthmatics.
  5. The above measures are precautionary as the treatment does not leave a significant residue.

There is always a possibility of last minute changes due to weather conditions which we will advise of in advance, if possible.
